TerminatorsEnd-users of WisTransPortal traffic incident information. TIA incident alerts are sent to outside agencies, media, and other responder organizations via email and fax, and to the general public via 511 Twitter. Real-time InterCAD data is broadcast to 511 by the STOC control room. Password protected access to archived InterCAD data is available to government agencies and universities for research use.
TOPS_WisTransPortalWisTransPortal traffic incident data resources, including TIA and InterCAD, are all components of the WisTransPortal system which is located at the TOPS Lab at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and managed by TOPS Lab IT staff.
WisDOTWisDOT-wide end-users of WisTransPortal traffic incident data.
WisDOT_DBM_BITSProvides TOPS Lab with an annual update of STN GIS network information (part of the LCS IT maintenance project). Roadway network information is used for traffic incident locations.
WisDOT_DSP_BFOWisconsin State Patrol (WSP) dispatch center staff and supervisors are responsible for entering, updating, and clearing incident alerts in the TIA. Dispatchers also manage traffic incident information in WSP CAD.
WisDOT_DSP_BPSCMaintains the WSP CAD system and the associated WSP-to-InterCAD XML transmission process.
WisDOT_DTIM_BSHPWisDOT data steward of STN and WISLR GIS network information.
WisDOT_DTSD_BOSMaintains the WisDOT bridge database, which is used to merge bridge over / underpass information with the STN bridge inventory for purposes of generating LCS landmarks.
WisDOT_DTSD_BTO_STOCThe STOC performs statewide traffic incident management functions for WisDOT. WisTransPortal related roles and responsibilities include: STOC control room operators and staff are responsible for entering, updating, and clearing incident alerts in the TIA and for administering the TIA email distribution lists. The STOC also manages the ATMS Event Manager which receives InterCAD IEEE 1512 XML messages. STOC control room operators broadcast traffic incidents from Event Manager to 511. The STOC is also the WisDOT project manager for InterCAD and TIA.
